Lake Cumberland Migrant Head Start
The Lake Cumberland Migrant Head Start Program serves infants, toddlers and children with disabilities of migrant families in a developmentally and culturally appropriate learning environment.
LCCAA participates in the Kentucky Migrant Head Start Network. LCCAA’s Migrant Head Start Program will serve 32 participants in Pulaski and Casey counties with a seasonal, full-day center-based program. The program provides comprehensive, holistic, and inclusive services including medical, dental, mental health, nutrition, and education, as well as a practical Partnering with First Steps. The program has an intensive approach to work WITH parents to improve migrant family, and child health, education and development.
Income-eligible families include infants and toddlers between the ages of zero and five years of age, typically and with disabilities; 51% of the family income must be from work in agriculture and the family must have moved once within the last twenty-four (24) months.
